With over 30 years of experience working with organizations to achieve supply chain excellence, Sarah Friesen knows what it takes to put effective change into practice. Her expertise implementing solutions within hospitals, shared services organizations and the private sector, along with her understanding of essential relationships with suppliers and government, provides a unique perspective for crafting solutions specific to an organization’s needs.
Healthcare supply chain management is evolving across Canada. Purchasing practices in particular have made a dramatic shift from order processing to innovative and value based procurement. Specializing in healthcare procurement solutions, Sarah’s areas of focus include strategic sourcing transformation, innovation procurement and professional development.
Motivated by her passion for effecting change within the healthcare system, Sarah was a co-founder of the Healthcare Supply Chain Network, an association whose mission is "to promote Canadian healthcare supply chain standards and leading practices."
